Role Description

Position Summary: To help with the operation of our clothing department which filters through clothing, linen and material donations. Donations are resold or repurposed and it will be part of your role to decide this appropriately. There is opportunity for progression to our online sales department, which over see’s the resale of exclusive and branded items via online platforms such as vinted and eBay. Key Responsibilities: As a clothing department worker, your duties will likely include: Assessing if clothing items are appropriate for our charity shops, Vinted or recycling Sorting and processing donated goods by clothing type, size, etc. Ensuring the clothing bay is kept tidy and organised. Washing some items of clothing. Identifying and organising specific items for the shop, i.e. at Christmas we will be looking to sell partywear, Christmas jumpers and festive attire, in summer we may be looking for sun hats, summer dresses etc. Liaising with our online sale and marketing team to make sure suitable clothes are organised and stored appropriately Opportunity to help research the value of different clothing brands Person Spec: Organised with good communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Able to pay attention to detail, and capable of deciding what is fit for resale and what is not. Brand awareness with a good eye for current trends and able to recognise some fashion labels and high street brands.
