Grantown Remakery Workshop

Ideally one regular session per week (2–6 hours), although flexible arrangements can be discussed.

Role Description

Help restore and repair donated furniture and textiles, enabling more items to be reused, resold and kept in circulation. This role supports our commitment to sustainability while helping us share practical repair skills with staff, volunteers and members of the community. Typical Tasks: Upholstery and furniture restoration projects Sewing repairs and alterations Assessing suitable repair methods Share knowledge and practical skills with staff and volunteers where appropriate Helping maintain workshop equipment and materials Benefits: Share valuable practical skills Work on a variety of restoration projects Support sustainability and waste reduction Meet like-minded people Help preserve traditional repair skills

Training Provided:

Support from workshop staff and volunteers, induction and health and safety briefing.
